Shania Twain and her husband, Frederic Thiebaud, were spotted at John F. Kennedy airport in New York City on January 3, 2023, where they were seen wheeling their own luggage to their car. Shania, dressed in a casual outfit of jeans, a sweatshirt, and a baseball cap, was all smiles during the outing. Frederic, her husband of 12 years, took care of most of the couple’s bags while following her closely. The couple celebrated their 12th wedding anniversary on New Year’s Day, having married on January 1, 2011.
Their relationship was not conventional, as Shania split from her first husband, Robert John “Mutt” Lange, with whom she shares a son, in 2008 after he had an affair with her best friend, Marie-Anne Thiebaud, who is now Frederic’s ex-wife. Frederic was the one who told Shania about the affair after Mutt and Marie-Anne refused to tell her themselves. Despite the unconventional beginning, Shania and Frederic found support in each other and developed a beautiful relationship that blossomed into love.
Shania is looking forward to the release of her new album, Queen of Me, on February 3, 2023. It is her first full studio album since 2017, and the first single, “Waking Up Dreaming,” was released in 2022. She will embark on her Queen of Me tour starting on April 28 in Washington, supporting the album. The North American leg of the tour will conclude in July, after which she will perform a string of shows in Europe in September before returning to North America in October for another month of shows.
