“The Penguin”: Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Deirdre O’Connell to Star in DC Limited Series on HBO Max

DC’s upcoming limited series, “The Penguin,” has reportedly cast Michael Kelly, Shohreh Aghdashloo, and Deirdre O’Connell in lead roles. The series will revolve around the infamous DC villain, Oswald Cobblepot, a.k.a. The Penguin, played by Colin Farrell in the upcoming film “The Batman.”

Michael Kelly, known for his roles in “House of Cards” and “The Comey Rule,” will play a character named Reeves, who is described as “one of Gotham’s most respected detectives.” Meanwhile, Shohreh Aghdashloo, best known for her work in “House of Sand and Fog” and “The Expanse,” will play the role of Neha, the wife of a character named Mayor Don Mitchell Jr., who has not yet been cast.

Deirdre O’Connell, whose credits include “The Path” and “The Affair,” will play a character named Louise, who is described as “a physical therapist who becomes entangled in Cobblepot’s criminal enterprise.”

“The Penguin” limited series will be produced by Warner Bros. Television and will air on the streaming service HBO Max. It is unclear at this time when production will begin or when the series will be released.
